I’m Chris Long, a conservative committed to empowering the MIGOP’s grassroots movement. I believe in defending liberty and standing firm in our shared values to build a future rooted in freedom and opportunity for all Michiganders.

Grassroots activism is the backbone of lasting political change. When fully activated, county by county, it has the power to reshape communities and secure our shared values. While Democrats excel at building movements that inspire and mobilize their base, we too often operate like an industry—transactional and disconnected. To win elections and lead effectively, we must evolve. We need to build the next great movement—one fueled by bold ideas, unified action, and an unwavering commitment to empowering the grassroots.

As a grassroots organizer, I know that success isn’t just about activity—it’s about measurable results. Winning elections and driving meaningful change begins at the grassroots level, where the fight for our values is strongest.

We must continue the momentum from the November 2024 election to win back our state in 2026. This will require not only effective planning but bold and decisive action.

Over the past 18 months, I’ve worked alongside fellow conservatives in Mecosta County to achieve incredible victories through strategic planning and relentless action. Together, we recalled six township officials, flipped seven primary seats, and secured majorities in two townships and the county commission. These efforts culminated in decisive wins across three elections, proving that a united grassroots coalition can transform communities and deliver real results.

As part of Trump Force 47, I knocked on over 1,000 doors and made over 1,000 phone calls, connecting with voters and strengthening the bonds of grassroots activism. These experiences have shown me the power of collective effort and what can be achieved when we act together. Elections are never won by one person—they are won by We, the People.

If elected as MIGOP Grassroots Vice-Chair, I will transform this role into the most active and effective grassroots operation Michigan has ever seen. By focusing on Planning, Organizing, and Executing, we will empower county-by-county efforts, equipping activists with the data, tools, and strategies needed to win elections, hold our leaders accountable, and defend our values.
